This Halloween, Dublin will host a high-energy culinary spectacle with a powerful purpose: Ireland’s First 11-Hour Halloween Cookathon.
On Saturday, October 31st, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Chef Karl Wilder, accompanied by his faithful Boston Terrier companion, Milou, will take on an intense, non-stop 11-hour live cooking marathon to benefit Secret Street Tours Dublin. The event promises a full day of culinary challenges, mystery ingredient boxes, live audience interaction, and surprise appearances by well-known Irish personalities and celebrity guests. Unlike traditional fundraising events, the Cookathon is built around the core theme: “Cooking. Community. Connection. Change.”
The event aims to highlight how food and human connection can dismantle stereotypes surrounding homelessness in Ireland. "Food brings people to the table, but community keeps them there," says Chef Karl Wilder. "We aren't just putting on an 11-hour cooking show for the fun of it, though it will be plenty of fun. We are doing this to shine a bright light on Secret Street Tours and demonstrate how meaningful employment and storytelling can truly change lives in Dublin."
