It’s been one month since we launched our first socially responsible walking tour of Dublin and since then, Derek (Co-founder and Tour Guide) has delivered 8 walking tours to more than 50 engaged customers.

We were delighted to receive recognition from Newstalk, RTE Radio, The Irish Examiner, The Irish Times, The Times, The Irish Sun and Q102. You can check out some of the coverage on our Facebook page here.

Some Reviews:

Our tour guide Derek was a gent from the Liberties and had been homeless himself. As we walked around the liberties, he shared historical facts and captivating stories about the area - that kind of stuff only the locals would know... along with his own personal experience of being homeless and his journey to becoming a guide. A real eye-opener on a crisis that needs to be highlighted.

Thank you so much to Derek today for showing me a really interesting part of Dublin I have never been to before. It was a unique experience to be shown an area in a completely different light. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Secret street tours is not just for tourists! I’ve lived here for 10 years and the tour was an education for me. It is a social and historical insight into the city from both a modern and historical perspective. Our tour guide Derek was extremely knowledgeable and very articulate. He added a truly personal touch to the tour by sharing his experiences growing up in central Dublin as well as his period living homeless in Dublin. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough, it was a brilliant experience with an excellent guide!
